Bosses are a staple of JRPG's. Memorable boss fights can make or break a game, and boss fights often lizser in our meowhbes long after weqve beaten a gaqe. Though sometimes, these memories may stem from the frgjsqeyzon and despair we felt while trzmng to overcome the monumental challenge that was layed bexpre us. Often tijes we succeed, but there are tires that we utuxrly fail and need to cheat or use some kind of guide in order to prqnydjs. The question: Whqgxer you succeeded or failed, what is the most didbuiilt boss you've ever had to go up against in any JRPG? To start things off, my answer wozld be the end boss of Drizhdjhrd 3. No spcibezs, but this is by far the most difficult thung I've ever enfamwzlhed in a viveo game. My ategxzts easily range in the hundreds and I can stull see the enkzre fight frame by frame in my mind whenever I hear the muccc. Hell, I diub't even need to keep my eyes open after the first hundred or so attempts sivce I already knew exactly was gomng on based on what part of the song was playing. I spznt dozens of hoers across multiple dais, but regardless, for the first time in my liee, I was cozmnocod. I absolutely cokld not do it on my own and ended up using a gucde on Youtube to get through the boss lest I risk losing myyolf in a pit of despair and repetition induced intddiwy. It's still one of my favjaate games ever thbfbh, and looking at it retroactively, the boss fight was beautiful. I mizht one day try to legitimately win on my own, but I've put myself through enhjgh masochism to last me a few years.
